InsightBolt Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information: We collect your email address and authentication information when you create or use an account. Authentication is provided through Supabase Auth.

Content Profile information: You may provide information such as your niche, target audience, goals, writing style, sample posts, preferred words, words to avoid, and other style preferences. We use this information to tailor the Service to you.

Content and usage information: We collect the text you submit to our tools, the output generated for you, and content you save in your Content Queue, calendar, or weekly plans. This information allows you to use the Service and return to your saved work.

Billing information: Payments are processed by Flutterwave. We do not store your full card number or other complete payment credentials. We may receive and store your billing email, transaction and customer references, plan type, and subscription status so that we can verify payments and manage your account.

Device and local-storage information: The Service may store preferences, onboarding status, recently used tools, and temporary cached content in your browser's local storage. This information remains on your device and is not directly accessible to us from our servers.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, personalize, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your account and save your work
• Generate content using the tools you choose
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Communicate with you about your account, payments, or the Service
• Protect the security, reliability, and integrity of the Service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Content Profile or submitted content to personalize results for other users.

3. AI processing

The Service uses third-party AI model providers. When you use an AI-powered tool, your input and, where relevant, the information in your Content Profile are sent to an AI provider to generate your requested output. This processing is necessary to provide those features.

Please do not submit confidential, sensitive, or other information that you are not comfortable sending to a third-party AI provider. The provider's own privacy policy and terms may also apply to its processing of your information.

4. When we share information

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Service:

• Supabase: hosting, authentication, and database services
• Flutterwave: payment processing and subscription management
• AI model providers: generation of requested content

These providers process information on our behalf or as necessary to provide their services. We do not share your personal information with advertisers, and we do not sell it to third parties. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

5. Storage and security

Your information is stored with Supabase and may be processed in Nigeria or other countries where our service providers operate. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain uses of your personal information.

You can update your Content Profile in the app. To request access to your information or deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support.insightbolt@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the period required by applicable law.

7. Data retention

We retain account and content information while your account is active or for as long as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except for information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. International transfers

If you use the Service outside Nigeria, your information may be transferred to and processed in Nigeria and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules from your own. Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect your information during such transfers.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, or by another reasonable method. The updated version will include a new "Last updated" date.
